First Class Cabin Shelves from RMS Windsor Castle

Elegant brass and teak shelves from the 1st Class accommodation of RMS Windsor Castle. They were found in most first class cabins including the De-luxe Cabins. Neat details and design to prevent items from falling off the shelf.
Beautiful examples of mid century design from one of the 20th Centuries most famous passenger liners, RMS Windsor Castle of the Union Castle.

They were made by Heaton Tabb & Co, famous Liverpool outfitters who were responsible for the decor for nearly all the British classic liners including Olympic & Titanic.
Unusually, the Windsor Castle never suffered a re-fit and at Her time of breaking all Her original fixtures, furniture and fittings were present and intact. Her second owner John Latsis regarded the Ship as his personal favourite and so left Her as he found Her when She had finished sailing with Union Castle.
